Nonprofit, The Black Burdell, Inc. is making major strides as they bring their one-of-a-kind, inaugural Burdell’s School of Entrepreneurship Conference to a close this past weekend. This one-day startup conference brought together some of the best and brightest minority entrepreneurs and gave practical tactics on growing their business, no matter what stage of the the process attendees were in With over 70 attendees consisting of high school students, college students, and young professionals and 20 Black, millennial CEO and company founders presenting – this conference was truly one of a kind and changed the face of entrepreneurship.

GEORGIA TECH: Alumni Entrepreneurship Initiative Offering Student Scholarship

Young entrepreneurs at Georgia Tech have a new opportunity to get resources for their ideas through an alumni-launched venture called The Black Burdell. The Black Burdell was founded last year by Georgia Tech students and graduates to provide resources for young African-American entrepreneurs. The organization, which aims to be “changing the face of entrepreneurship,” is now accepting applications for its first scholarship from students attending either Georgia Tech or Georgia State University.
